Project Bijoyini

Alchemy Research and Analytics partnered with Rotary Club of Durgapur in January 2020 to start Project Bijoyini. Project Bijoyini aims to support meritorious female students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in their academic journeys. By contributing Rs 1,000 to each student within the programme, every month, it is envisaged that these students will be able to continue their studies beyond the primary level. The broader goal is to enable these girls to seek out a better quality of life, underpinned by financial independence and meaningful jobs. Project Bijoyini started on a modest scale with Alchemy supporting two girls from Kuldiha School in Durgapur (West Bengal). The programme has been scaled up over the last 3 years and currently offers financial support to 10 students from 6 schools.
